I was walking through the ghetto one day
Following a hummingbird…
There she was behind it,
A pencil twirled in a bun of her long hair,
Tortillas on a gas range.
And suddenly,
My heart wasn’t my own anymore.
Oh, I tried to keep it, for sure.
But what is a mere man to do
When his eternal soul is called to a Goddess?
A birthday letter,
A bike ride,
A PSYCHEDELIC cookie…
But what are these
Next to sparkling blue eyes?
A hike through the redwoods,
A trip to Golden Gate Park,
All of it nothing
But everything to my heart.
I once saw a glimpse of a child in those eyes
Happy and smiling.
And I once saw that same child hurt and sad and crying.
Both times, I just wanted to love.
But little did I know, it was Love that wanted me.
KRAKOW! My third-eye was split
And, from my now-exposed pineal gland,
Spilling out of it,
The Wave…
I could see time the way I used to see space
And all of the meaning inside of a face
And the future and fate of our whole human race
Of my old self, there was hardly a trace.
What good is it to follow and serve
Nothing? Nothing.
Well, I’ll tell you:
For all of the good you’ll do for yourself,
You’ll do it much better for somebody else.
I found my purpose behind a hummingbird that day…
Now that I’ve seen it, it won’t go away.
Seeing God’s face will make you turn into stone,
But this Goddess’s back will make you gasp and moan.
For following this beauty (as fun as that is)
Is nothing compared to understanding what is.
The True nature of things will be revealed to you
When you open your hearts to Love that is True.
However you get there, just make sure you do.
We all need to heal, and that includes YOU.
Please heed the words of wisdom, people:
Nothing is True,
All is Permitted,
To all of the coercion
You are no longer committed.
Take a look around.
That’s them, right there. They are looking for you. Just let them in.
It may seem difficult at first, but, really, put on your Nikes.
(Come on, you know their slogan… Work with me)
But more importantly than Athena,
καλλίστῃ
It’s also true that what’s good for the gander is good for all geese.
I mean, who are we kidding? I’m talking about
